Description

This stamp was issued to commemorate one of the men of who guided the destinies of Canada from the time of Confederation.

It represents a portrait of Robert Laird Borden, Canada's Prime Minister during the First World War. His term of office extended from October, 1911 to July, 1920. He was born in Grand PrĂ©, Nova Scotia, 1854, and died in Ottawa on June 10, 1937.
