Description
Two offset printings have been combined with on intaglio printing to produce this commemorative stamp. The three colours used in the design are white, blue and gold. "Peace on Earth" is the theme of the stamp; peace among men and nations. The universality of the appeal is expressed in the Latin words "Pacem in Terris" surrounding the world. On the international scene, Canada was well represented on truce commissions and at disarmament negotiations.
