Description
This stamp was issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the International Civil Aviation Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations with headquarters in Montreal. By its efforts much progress has been made toward the improvement of safety and regularity in international air transportation. A guiding torch over a white dove flying to the right and upwards, with a maple leaf underneath, representing the Organization Civil Aviation, and Canada, respectively.
