Description
Most wild animals usually try to avoid being seen by humans, and may be difficult to sight because of nocturnal habits. But with a little practice, interested observers can learn to recognize signs of their presence. If, just after sunset, you hear rustling and gnawing sounds overhead, you are likely near a flying squirrel. Gottschalk + Ash International in Toronto designed these new low-value definitive stamps. The graphic style depicts these small mammals on a split, textured background suggestive of the animals' environment. The colours on the stamps were chosen to be realistic, and yet to allow each stamp to be easily distinguishable.
